About the Role:

The OHS Coordinator provides operational assistance and an advisory service to workers and managers across Beechworth Health Service (BHS). The role plays a pivotal part in fostering a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment by:

  • Developing and maintaining OHS systems and frameworks to meet legislative and industry standards.
  • Support risk management and compliance across administrative, clinical, aged care, community, kitchen and laundry areas.
  • Leading incident investigations, risk mitigation strategies, and supporting emergency preparedness.
  • Facilitating staff training and education to build a strong safety culture.
  • Leading WorkCover claims management and return-to-work (RTW) programs in partnership with HR and Payroll.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in an OHS role.
  • Knowledge of Victorian OHS Legislation, regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • Experience developing and implementing OHS framework, audits and training.
  • Skilled in incident investigation and risk prevention.
