About the Role:
The Facilities Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of Essential Services, including Cleaning, Laundry, Waste Management and Stores services at Beechworth Health Service, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with organisational, legislative and quality requirements. This position reports directly to the Manager Infrastructure & Support Services, and may be required to act in this position during times of leave.
About You:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience leading operational support services within a healthcare, aged care, hospitality, facilities or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience supervising multidisciplinary operational teams and coordinating daily service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and managing workforce rosters across multiple service areas.
- Well-developed leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate competing operational priorities and respond effectively to changing service demands.
- Sound understanding of infection prevention and control, environmental services, waste management, stores operations and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Demonstrated experience monitoring operational performance and implementing service improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate contractors and operational resources.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High level computer literacy including Microsoft Office and electronic rostering systems.
Desirable
- Experience working in public health or residential aged care.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Leadership and Management or related discipline.
- Experience using electronic rostering systems.
- Knowledge of industrial instruments and workforce planning principles.
- Experience participating in quality improvement activities.
