Where do you want to go?

We are seeking expressions of interests from individuals based in Southern Queensland to undertake an applied research and product development program to generate technical information for use in primarily product registration and marketing.

Working for Bayer CropScience, this position will involve regular travel across Southern Queensland and Northern NSW to Horticulture and sometimes Broadacre trial sites.

The role is responsible for evaluating new and existing crop protection products and to develop recommendations for their commercial use.  The role also includes the opportunity to contribute to the running of a national trial program and work in project teams with Marketing and Sales colleagues.

  • Completing the allocated field trial programs to allow key development decisions to be made
  • Analyzing, interpreting and communicating trial data
  • Identifying and proposing new product development opportunities and evaluating their potential
  • Providing product training and technical support to internal and external customers
  • Sustaining a high level of technical expertise by maintaining an extensive technical understanding of the range of Bayer CropScience crop protection products.

Does this sound like you?

  • Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science or equivalent
  • Previous experience in Product Development
  • Up to date knowledge in Horticulture
  • Basic statistics and trial design knowledge preferred
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Clear and concise written communication skills
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence and wiliness to travel on a regular basis
  • Comfortable working in isolation, completing physical work
  • Commitment to working safely and following SOPs
