Where do you want to go?

Part-time permanent position reporting to Site Director of Rydalmere Supply Center, the Product Supply(PS) Controller is focused on the efficient and effective execution of standard PS Controlling activities. Key responsibilities include;

Providing financial direction and control to the manufacturing facility, steering the PS site leadership team to meet or exceed targeted KPIs and help to identify focus areas in support of continuous improvement related to operational efficiencies. Take responsibility for SAP ERP system controlling modules, including maintenance of the costing system and PS cost center hierarchy whilst support of inventory analytics, capital investments required for site, and interface between PS & Finance.

  • Coordinate all relevant aspects of COGS reporting, planning and controlling
  • Maintain the production costing system and take necessary corrective action on a continuous basis using appropriate systems and Bayer policies
  • Responsible for preparation of development of unit standard product costs, monthly / quarterly / annual financial planning and reporting, deviations, variance analysis and commentary
  • Support PS management in the establishment and monitoring of standard costs for all products manufactured at the production site. This includes conversion costs, material development (e.g. Loss factors, purchase price), and other related operating costs. Support Division / PS by providing standard costs and rates in accordance with the management and manufacture of their respective products
  • Ensure all Controlling aspects of the Rydalmere Supply Center including CAPEX controlling & proper asset management
  • Provide leadership for and support to the development and implementation of cost saving initiatives and objectives in conjunction with the Site Management Team
  • Generate Month-end Journals, Accruals, standard Balance sheet reconciliations for respective area of responsibility as required for PS Organisation
  • Support LE Controlling with PS divisional Transfer Price & Supplier Basket Analysis, price setting, change and reimbursement requirements of PS division
  • Local system user support for PS organisation (e.g. SAP / Data.one / CLMS / Your-Docs / Concur / Smartbuy) 
  • Support and be extended member of the Pharma PS Medical Device controlling community plus key site performance / operations excellence partner

Does this sound like you?

  • Tertiary qualification degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent studies
  • Preferable CA or CPA qualified or studying towards completion
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment in Finance or Accounting function
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel spreadsheet software
  • Expertise in usage of system and process landscapes (SAP, BW, BI, Ariba, VIM etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with broad range of people with varying financial skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and demonstrate collaboration with internal stakeholders 
  • Proficient and knowledgeable with financial accounting policies and procedures
  • Solid business sense to analyse financial performance of product supply operations
  • Deep understanding of global controlling standards and methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
