Where do you want to go?
Join Bayer as Communications Manager for the Crop Science division, where you will be a true business partner, working closely with the Country Divisional Head, the leadership team and other internal teams across ANZ. Shape the external positioning of the Crop Science division with key audiences (media, customers, farmers, industry and other agriculture stakeholders), ensuring alignment to Bayer’s global Crop Science positioning and local Group positioning.

- Lead the planning and execution of the ANZ Crop Science division’s communications and PR activities to improve Bayer’s presence and credibility with key audiences.
- Proactively coordinate and manage issues communications and support on crisis communications as needed.
- Foster direct relationships with key industry and agribusiness writers, including working with senior leaders to raise the profile of Bayer through these media.
- Manage the relationship with PR agencies to execute communications campaigns and support major brand launches and projects.
- Develop and execute executive visibility and leader engagement plans internally and externally and amplify crop science activities and employee voices through divisional and corporate social media channels.
- Provide strategic counsel on employee and internal communications activities with a focus on leadership communications and transformation programs.
- Recommend and manage the allocation of OPEX budget.
Does this sound like you?
- Proven hands-on experience in strategic PR and media relations, either in-house or in an agency
- Experience delivering integrated communications across a diverse external audience is essential
- Previous exposure to working within agriculture would be highly regarded, but a passion for learning the sector is more important
- Experience in proactive issues management
- Capability to think strategically and project manage execution of communications activities in ANZ in collaboration with internal teams
- High degree of flexibility and resilience
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills
- Outstanding influencing skills and ability to collaborate effectively
- Champions for Bayer’s LIFE values and behaviours
- Willingness to travel and work outside office hours when necessary
