Where do you want to go?
Lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans (0-36 months) for the Cotton, Summer Crops (Maize & Sorghum) and Roundup portfolio including brand management, portfolio lifecycle, pricing, commercial business planning and project management of new solutions (Cotton traits and Crop Protection) across Australia to achieve our sustainable growth and profitability objectives

Working closely a large number of internal stakeholders (Customer Marketing (CM) Sales, Market Development, Field Solutions, Regulatory Science etc) you will draw upon your expert knowledge in the cotton and/or crop protection industry and demonstrate a strong commercial marketing/ sales background. This role would suit someone who has worked in a Brand Marketing or Sales Product Management position previously and ready to step into a bigger portfolio.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:
Portfolio & Lifecycle Management
- Develop and communicate clearly defined strategies for Cotton and Roundup for the next 3-5 years including the life-cycle management of core brands and solutions.
- Contribute and develop new proposals for portfolio advancement, defence, and growth.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to develop a solid understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends and customer needs across Australia.
Brand Strategy & Planning
- In collaboration, you will define the customer value propositions for the core brands within the portfolio, leading to clear product positioning, differentiation and targeting in the defined customer and market segments.
- Define the annual brand plans and marketing programs for the key brands.
- Define and track the P&I budget and OPEX for your portfolio.
Product Launches & Product Leadership
- Responsible for leading new product launches with the support of the Project Launch Excellence Lead, Marketing Operations and Commercial Teams.
- Leadership of cross-functional project teams (24-36 months from launch) to ensure the delivery of differentiated and valued new solutions for our customers
Commercial Stewardship & Operations
- Lead teams to implement discontinuation of relevant products, ensuring regulatory, commercial and global stewardship obligations are met.
- Support engagement with relevant industry expert committees, as required by the APVMA and relevant cotton stakeholders.
- Lead the development of grower-based programs to educate, encourage and incentivise the adoption of best management practices to support sustainable cotton production.
Does this sound like you?
- Substantial experience in Cotton and Cotton trait brand marketing or sales is essential.
- A minimum of a tertiary bachelors degree or equivalent in Agricultural science, Marketing or a Business/Commerce related field.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
- Strong networking, influencing and management skills within a matrix organisation.
- Experience working across borders with Regional and Global teams.
- P&I Budget management experience highly regarded.
- A finely tuned customer-centric approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills
