Where do you want to go?

This is a great opportunity for 2 Production Operators to join us and to grow your skills within a busy manufacturing environment. At Bayer CropScience we are a small team of dedicated Plant Production Operators, producing chemical products for customers in farming, horticulture and turf industries just to name a few.

You will have the opportunity to work across the full production line, starting at packing and moving all the way through to chemical formulation.

Our site is located in Pinkenba, Brisbane with free onsite parking available. We work Monday - Friday with fortnightly pay and a fortnightly RDO.

Working predominately day shift which starts at 6.30 am. Overtime is available and during peak production times we run an afternoon shift.

Base salary starts at $60,467 per annul for level 2 Basic Operators, $64,525 per annum for Skilled Operators. 11.5% superannuation and 4 weeks paid annual leave.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Setting up and operating the production packing line machinery
  • Measuring raw materials into our production formulation machinery
  • Performing quality control checks, competently and unsupervised
  • Be willing to work on all areas of production – milling, formulation and pack out
  • Ability to run machines to daily production timetables
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, and wear full PPE
  • Contribute to continuous improvements plans

Does this sound like you?

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and packing lines is essential.
  • Comfortable working with large batches of powders, liquids and chemicals.
  • Good literacy skills, in order to read and follow safe work practice documentation and formulation measurements.
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment
  • Strong ability to use your initiative and collaborate as a team member
  • A positive 'can do' attitude
  • Ability to listen to constructive feedback and learn from others
  • Those with supervisor or team leader skills can use these to grow their career
  • Cert 3 in manufacturing or above (preferred)
  • Direct experience in formulation will be awarded at higher enterprise agreement pay rate

You must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test as part of our selection process (paid for by Bayer) and allow us to undertake work reference checks. You must also be able to provide current work rights, which allow you to work full time in Australia.
