Where do you want to go?
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to undertake an applied research and product development program to generate technical information for use in product registration and marketing.
The role is responsible for evaluating new and existing crop protection products and to develop recommendations for their commercial use. The role also includes the opportunity to contribute to the running of a national trial program and work in project teams with Marketing and Sales colleagues.
This is a 2 year contract, full time hours. A full NZ drivers licence will be required, along with suitable work rights to work full time in New Zealand.
Do something that moves you.
- Completing the allocated field trial programs to allow key development decisions to be made,
- Analysing, interpreting and communicating trial data,
- Identifying and proposing new product development opportunities and evaluating their potential
- Providing product training and technical support to internal and external customers,
- Sustaining a high level of technical expertise by maintaining an extensive technical understanding of the range of Bayer CropScience crop protection products.
Does this sound like you?
- Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science or equivalent
- Previous experience in product development, preferably in Horticulture
- Experience in or understanding of spray application
- Well-developed computer skills with MS Word and Excel
- Good oral and written communication skills, including basic statistics and trial design knowledge
- Valid NZ driver’s licence, along with being comfortable driving on remote farm areas
- Be self-motivated, with the ability to work in isolation
- Strong time management skills to ensure delivery of project timelines
- Commitment to working safely and contributing to improved work practices
