Where do you want to go?
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you would be responsible for timely execution of the Accounting Operations in the area of Accounting. You will support the overall closing processes for all legal entities together with the outsourced Bayer organization in line with the Global Bayer guidelines.
Do something that moves you.
- Support the preparation and presentation of the Financial Statements of Australia in accordance with the Global directive considering external accounting requirements and the Bayer Group's internal steering purposes as well as country specific legislation
- Act as one of the key contacts for the delivery of accounting operations from shared services to Australia, whilst working in collaboration with local ANZ Finance Business Partners and Finance Divisions to support operational and governance requirements
- Support projects including Mergers and Acquisitions, new business models and system implementations. The position support across activities that require group and division specific accounting judgment, comprehensive business knowledge and knowledge of other administrative functions
- Ensure compliance with relevant local and global policies, guidelines, processes and procedures
- Assess and analyse relevant and material accounting issues whilst consulting with respective local and global functions and with internal/external auditors where required
- Preparation of the local legal entity income statements and consolidations for; Impairment testing, Tax forecast and Transfer pricing, Cash flow, Liquidity planning and financials for exposure planning
- Ensure proper implementation of globally defined group strategy, standards, best practices, enablers (IT and concepts) and processes
- Support to Tax and Treasury functions of Group Finance
- Ensure compliant and timely data delivery to global systems and compliant regulatory reporting to authorities in compliance with local laws
Does this sound like you?
- Tertiary qualification in finance or related discipline
- Professional experience in broader Finance organization
- Qualified Accountant, CA (preferred) or CPA
- SAP working systems experience application landscape, big data technology and analytic tools
- Thorough knowledge of the global and local processes, laws and regulations
- Knowledge about interface areas e.g. S2P, O2C, HR, Fleet, Legal, Real Estate and asset invest and maintenance
- Advanced Project and Change Management capabilities including strong presentation and communication skills
- Driving character to understand and simplify the needs of the business and translate it into business value by avoiding financial surprises
- Ability to establish and maintain a sustainable cross-stakeholder
