This is a diverse role where you will be responsible for the development and executions of strategic marketing plans related to product and portfolio management for trait and crop protection solutions across Bayer Crop Science ANZ.
With an agenda for achieving sustainable growth and delivering profitability, you will lead a team of 6 to deliver these objectives.

Working in a hybrid environment, this role will focus on 6 key areas: Strategic Marketing Planning, Portfolio Strategy, Product Planning Processes, Pricing, Launch excellence and adding value to our successful Bayer Crop Science division.
Strategic Marketing Planning
- Develop a consolidated Crop Science ANZ marketing strategic plan for a rolling 3 year time period, in alignment with regional stakeholders and contribute to the development of long range portfolio plans.
- Define the market opportunities in specific segments through portfolio evolution, ensuring a clear growth strategy in market share and value of our products.
Portfolio strategy
- Define the portfolio strategy for ANZ, in collaboration with regional Asset and portfolio stakeholders, through provision of market knowledge, grower insights and reflecting customer needs, competitive dynamic and emerging trends.
Product Planning process
- Develop and define the strategic marketing planning process and cycle that ensures cross portfolio consistency for cohesive brand and asset strategy, market engagement strategy and execution, and consistent customer experience.
Pricing
- Steer the development of pricing proposals for products.
- Lead the adoption of defined processes to manage ongoing pricing review for relevant products and be the key communicator for pricing decisions and strategy with regional counterparts
Launch excellence
- Leadership of launch excellence activities in ANZ.
- Identification of opportunities to maximise sales throughout the lifecycle portfolio
- Define the planning and execution cycle to ensure cross portfolio consistency for a cohesive and consistent launch.
- Be a people leader who inspires their team to always be looking at ways to add value to the unique customers we engage with in all key portfolio sectors.
Does this sound like you?
- Extensive experience in Product Brand management, backed by being an established and commercially astute marketing leader.
- Deep understanding of agricultural markets and customers is essential. Experience in the Seed or Chemical markets will be a bonus.
- Proven experience managing multiple brands simultaneously, whilst navigating a variety of end users and unique competitor markets.
- A collaborative people leader, you will leverage the experience and knowledge of your direct reports and empower them to deliver.
- Be an exceptional strategic thinker, backed up by the ability translate concepts into successful data backed executions.
- A strong exposure to pricing strategies and product lifecycles will see you excel.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully engaged with local cluster and remote cross boarder commercial teams.
- As a minimum, you will hold a Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Agriculture, Business or Commerce
