Where do you want to go?

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence you will be responsible for leading, initiating and overseeing end to end primary market research projects in partnership with external vendors, aligned to strategy. You will be responsible for process adherence and the activities of respective service providers.

Acting as a trusted business partner, you will help develop plans and programs to achieve sustainable and profitable growth for the division by identifying, analyzing and communicating insights from internal and external data sources to provide recommendations to key stakeholders across the Pharmaceutical Business Unit.

Drive and provide actionable insights from market research to support strategic and tactical business decisions and innovative solutions to the cross-functional brand teams to support execution of go-to market strategies based on the ‘so-what’ of the market research.

 Do something that moves you.

  • Lead primary market research (PMR) and business analysis to measure impact of key launches and commercial strategies
  • Design and execution of all PMR initiated by Global or by Marketing Asia Pacific and conduct in the Region
  • Develop and provide key performance indicators to support Business Units to align with strategic imperatives and support decision making by ad-hoc analysis
  • Provide market research expertise and consultancy support for the Business Units and foster the creation of actionable customer insights and market analyses
  • Proactively provide market and customer insights to Business Units and other functions and teams
  • Deliver true insights and recommendations through provision of strategic analysis, competitor intelligence and analysis of primary and secondary data. Identifying actionable insights which can be translated into brand strategies which directly impact brand performance
  • Align on specific insight and analytics project and action plans, to support market research strategy alongside planning and agreeing on budget, initiatives and resources and ensures its effective allocation
  • Selects and manages competitive insight vendors
  • Oversee, align and ensure quality of researching activities, business reporting and primary market researching
  • Conduct training and provide workshops for relevant stakeholders, contributing to the regional CBI community through best practice sharing opportunities
  • Support the development of Customer Business Insights as a function as key member in internal projects, when in-depth market research knowledge is required
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry and Bayer’s code of conduct at all times

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business or Marketing discipline
  • Direct experience in Market Research either through industry or agencies (Pharmaceuticals)
  • Thorough knowledge of primary and secondary Market Research (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and team skills combined with excellent business acumen (planning, execution) with a strong Customer focus
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proficiency in forecasting and modelling
  • Energetic, Enthusiastic: self-driven and organized, ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written English plus native-level command of local language
