Reporting into the Head of Sales the newly created National Sales Manager position is a highly visible and strategically important leadership role with responsibility for building, developing, and leading a national team of specialty sales representatives to drive performance, achieve and exceed business expectations and sales targets.

- Provide leadership, coaching, in field support, guidance, feedback and operational direction to build capability and drive a culture of high performance
- Attract, recruit, and retain high calibre team members
- Develop and execute a cross functional business plan that is aligned to brand strategy and tactical objectives
- Drive a culture of sales excellence and continuous improvement
- Support your team with putting together comprehensive and strategic account management plans to drive value, deliver growth and maximise profitability in line with business strategy and sales targets
- Actively participate as member of internal cross functional teams/squads providing field insights to help drive brand strategies and tactics
- Be a culture creator and actively foster a culture where innovation, diverse thinking and high performance can flourish
- Ensure that the team are compliant with Medicines Australia Code of Contact as well as local regulations and internal policies
Does this sound like you?
- An experienced sales leader with proven experience leading specialty sales teams
- Applied understanding of the Australian and New Zealand pharmaceutical landscape and hospital environment
- Tertiary qualification in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead and empower high performing sales teams to work in an agile and collaborative way
- Excellent business partnering skills with the ability to influence across boundaries with a broad range of cross functional local, regional, and global stakeholders
- High levels of IT literacy
- Ability to work extensively in field and travel when required
- A superior motivator, communicator, team builder and leader with high energy, tenacity, and resilience
- Previous experience with agile or scrum methodology (preferred)
