Why We Need You: As the Medical Director, you'll play a pivotal role in:

  • Leading, developing, and directing functions for medical governance and compliance.
  • Partnering with business units to ensure strategic alignment and achievement of objectives.

  • Nurturing cross-functional collaboration for comprehensive medical support.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting Master: Oversee the local medical function's budget planning, monitoring spend against budget, and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Guardian of Governance: Champion medical governance across all activities involving Bayer products, fostering a culture of ethical excellence.
  • Strategic Manager: Develop and implement processes in alignment with business strategies, supporting product development and thought leader engagement.
  • Team Leader: Manage and mentor a high-performing medical team, fostering efficiency, morale, and quality output.
  • Influential Partner: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring strong relationships with key stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
  • Clinical Navigator: Provide medical input for clinical studies, regulatory activities, and post-registration activities.
  • Pharmacovigilance Advocate: Oversee the Pharmacovigilance System, promoting safety and compliance.
  • Information Guardian: Ensure accurate and compliant medical information distribution, both internally and externally.
  • Issue Resolver: Prepare the organization to handle potential issues and lead cross-functional teams to address challenges.
  • Strategic Contributor: Provide local medical input to regional/global strategies, representing the country in related activities.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • Medical degree (MD; PhD).
  • Minimum 5 years' pharmaceutical experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or related roles.
  • Proven leadership with at least 3 years in managerial functions.
  • Strong familiarity with therapeutic areas relevant to Bayer's portfolio.
  • Thorough understanding of international pharmaceutical laws and standards.
