Where do you want to go?
We are seeking Medical Science Liaison for our Oncology portfolio covering multiple Australian states and territories for a 24-month maximum term opportunity. This is an integral role that will see you act as a scientific expert and liaise between Bayer and the medical community through the discussion of scientific data.
Reporting to the Senior Medical Advisor, you will establish long-term scientific/strategic relationships with key physicians/scientists, medical associations and academic centres of excellence to ensure Thought Leaders (TLs) and organizations have access to relevant scientific information.

Your highly collaborative and scientific skills will see you engage with Thought Leaders on a peer-to-peer level and contribute to development of strategic business plans in consultation with Medical Affairs and cross-functional partners. You will implement Medical Affairs Strategies at the field level.
- Drive awareness of oncology products through dissemination and discussion of scientific and clinical data
- Collaborate with the Medical Information team as you answer medical / scientific queries
- Contribute to organization of advisory boards, and organize educational events
- Attend congresses and conventions to learn new scientific/clinical data and to engage with Thought Leaders
- Gather competitive intelligence to inform brand strategy
- Plan and organise scientific training and education events / sessions
- Act as a point of contact for approval, and communication of study progress and completion
- Support presentations of new information to hospital formularies and reimbursement
- Provide assistance to Marketing colleagues on field insights and education on scientific data.
Does this sound like you?
- Advanced degree in relevant science-related field eg. PhD, MD, PharmD
- Understanding of oncology diagnostics and biomarker/genomic testing
- Prior experience engaging with KOLs/TLs is preferred
- Strong understanding of molecular mechanisms of cancer pathogenesis, clinical research (trial design, conduct, and data interpretation)
- Advanced statistical skills and ability to extract insights from data
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting scientific data and academic /scientific writing.
- Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
