Where do you want to go?

This is a rare opportunity to join Bayer’s vegetable seed business, where the core focus is developing and maintaining sustainable customer focused relationships with large vertically integrated account holders, seed dealers, large scale nurseries, and direct growers.

As the point person for our De Ruiter brand in NZ, beyond sales you will work closely with our global product development teams to plan and execute trialling of new seed varieties with local growers to identifying and launching products that serve our customer’s needs.

As a national role, you will be comfortable working in an autonomous position and regular travel between the North and South island.

Do something that moves you.

  • Develop, maintain, and promote our vegetable seed varieties to increase awareness and strategically achieve targets and market share growth
  • Actively segment and analyse the territory to drive optimum return on time and resource investment
  • Maintain an appropriate level of technical knowledge, to enable you to confidently translate technical product information into commercial benefits for customers
  • Plan, organise field activities to trial new products for commercial viability, along with demonstrating the unique selling points of existing products through demonstration plots, trials, grower field days and grower meetings
  • Continually build effective relationships to optimise customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Forecast stock allocation, control, and distribution timelines for customers within the territory
  • Accurately produce sales forecasting, monthly sales reports and updates to wider team and management

Does this sound like you?

  • A proven track record in crop agronomy or agricultural sales
  • A genuine interest in vegetable seeds and growing produce
  • Willingness to travel to meet customers on a rotating basis
  • Experience in or willingness to learn planning and executing field trials
  • Strong computer and literacy skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Current NZ drivers licence
