The role of Key Account Manager is an exciting opportunity to grow your existing sales and account management skills further. The role will be responsible for maximizing sales and profit, by effectively managing the trade relationships between Bayer and pharmacy groups (DCO, Sigma Retail, IPA Group & Blooms) whilst working closely with our field team.

Our products are well known and likely to be in your own bathroom cabinet: – Berocca, Bepanthen, Claratyne, Canesten, Rennie and Elevit to just to name a few.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Achieving business results through the delivery of divisional sales budgets, utilising your strong understanding of customers P&L and yearly retail sales phasing.
  • Work collaboratively with your customers to drive joint value creation.
  • Achievement of agreed trade spend profitability and growth targets.
  • Partner with the Category team to identify category trends, implementation of promotion plans and ROI.
  • Manage budgets for all co-op expenditure.
  • Key account management – plan, monitor and control all activity aligned with the agreed strategy.
  • Attend monthly meetings with customers to drive actions against KPI’s.
  • Achieve shelf management and distribution targets.
  • Negotiate and implement range reviews where applicable.
  • Collaborate with demand and supply planners to ensure strong forecasting across the customer network.
  • Work closely with accounts to support accounts claims and adjustments.
  • Update and communicate planograms, ranging, pricing, shelf management and promotional schedules to relevant stakeholders.

Does this sound like you?

  • Proven experience working in a Pharmacy account management or FMCG Sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of customer and account P&L.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to make sound business decisions and recommendations.
  • Intermediate computer MS office skills.
  • Knowledge of IRI Aztec and Nielsen highly regarded.

At Bayer we believe flexibility and collaboration make us a better. We currently work in a hybrid work environment, with 3 days (Tuesday - Thursday) in the office based in Pymble, NSW each week.

Please note this is a full time, max term contract role.
