Bayer CropScience is offering two placements, one in its Field Solutions and one in its Market Development department. These opportunities will provide experience in the development of cutting edge agricultural inputs within Australia prior to and around registration and launch. The successful candidate will be assisting in delivering the development and launch of numerous new products within a large multi-national public company and industry leader.
About the placement
Bayer CropScience is partnering with select universities to provide a part time paid internship for 2 current students. This is the job advertisement page for the Field Solutions position. This will solely be open to 2nd and 3rd year students studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science, studying subjects such as Agronomy, Plant Pests and Pathogens, Soil Science, Botany or similar provided by the university.
The opportunity will involve undertaking a part time placement for up to 6 weeks or 200 hours (if working in one block does not suit), to compliment your studies in the above subjects. You will be working directly in the Field Solutions team. Duties will include assisting in the conduct, processing and reporting of field trials within the guidelines determined by Bayer. Who are the Field Solutions team?
The Field Solutions team provides development services within Bayer to register new products within Australia and conducts and manages field trials within Australian agricultural industries.
Application criteria
- We are looking for a proactive and collaborative student, who does not mind getting their hands in the soil. Most days will be on farm in the field.
- Be a 2nd or 3rd year student studying a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Science or similar studying subjects such as Agronomy, Plant Pests and Pathogens, Soil Science, Botany provided by the partnership universities.
- Hold a current open drivers’ licence and be willing to drive to field locations if you have a suitable vehicle, or be able to meet one of our Agronomists at a centralised point for travel in a Bayer vehicle.
- Be willing to stay overnight in regional locations or to travel interstate (if required)
