As our Safety Partner, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and embedding a proactive safety culture across our national network - supporting more than 1,500+ team members across retail stores, our National Distribution Centre and Store Support Centre. 

Reporting to the Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you’ll work closely with Operations, Store Support Centre, DC teams and cross-functional stakeholders to embed safety into everyday decision-making - balancing hands-on BAU safety partnering with broader transformation initiatives that uplift how safety is delivered across the business. 

What you’ll be doing 

Safety Leadership & Culture 

• Champion a proactive, positive safety culture across all sites 

• Coach leaders to build capability, ownership and accountability 

• Lead safety initiatives including campaigns, toolbox talks and engagement activities 

Risk Management & Compliance 

• Maintain and uplift the Safety Management System 

• Conduct and support risk assessments across stores and operations 

• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes and internal standards 

Operational Safety & Store Support 

• Support stores with safety audits, inspections and best practice implementation 

• Provide guidance on safe work practices, equipment use and hazard management 

• Partner on store refurbishments, contractor management and safe design 

Incident Management & Prevention 

• Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analysis 

• Identify trends and systemic risks to inform prevention strategies 

• Ensure emergency processes, training and readiness are maintained 

Reporting & Continuous Improvement 

• Analyse safety data, trends and audit outcomes 

• Prepare reports and insights for leadership 

• Track corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives 

About You 

• Strong experience in a multi-site safety role (retail, logistics or similar) 

• Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance frameworks 

• Skilled in incident investigation, risk assessment and auditing 

• Confident communicator who can influence and coach stakeholders 

• Practical, solutions-focused and comfortable balancing safety and operations 

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail 

• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel
