As Babywear/Consumables Merchandise Planner, you’ll drive sales and profit through merchandise planning, stock optimisation, and budget management. You’ll lead a planning assistant, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure accurate OTB, reforecasting, and reporting in a fast-paced retail environment.
Your Impact:
- Lead merchandise planning initiatives and cross-functional projects to drive process improvement and strategic outcomes.
- Develop and maintain financial plans and forecasts using data-driven insights to optimise sales, profit, and inventory productivity.
- Ensure system and data accuracy across planning tools, reporting platforms, and OTB management.
- Analyse inventory performance, sales trends, and consumer behaviour to support demand forecasting and stock availability across all channels.
- Collaborate with buying, supply chain, and store operations to enhance product assortment, manage allocations, and execute markdown strategies.
- Mentor and supervise the planning assistant while supporting range reviews, vendor relationships, and product mix optimisation.
What you'll bring:
- 7+years of experience in merchandise planning in apparel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to turn data into actionable insights
- Financial acumen to manage budgets and open-to-buy (OTB) effectively
- Confidence in data analysis and making informed, data-driven decisions
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management abilities
