Our Maroochydore store is beautifully situated an hour and a half north of Brisbane in the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre on the stunning Sunshine Coast. It is Baby Bunting's 76th store! Opened in August 2024, with a new and exciting store format, this store & role will give you an opportunity to utilise your skills and experience in a fun, supportive and dynamic environment.
πΌ About the Role
As a Warehouse Assistant, youβll work back of house in a retail storeroom ensuring stock integrity, as well as maintaining an efficient flow of merchandise from the storeroom to the sales floor. Weβre looking for someone who is passionate about supporting the team and thrives in a dynamic retail environment.
Hereβs what youβll be doing:
π¦ Stock Management: Unpack, label, and organize merchandise in an efficient and orderly manner.
π Delivery Processing: Receive and process incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy of items and quantities.
π Equipment Handling: Utilize various machinery such as Pallet Jack, Walkie Stacker, and trolley.
π Record Keeping: Use the Inwards/Outwards Goods Register for all inbound/outbound stock movement.
π€ Customer Support: Provide friendly customer service and support customers with pickups of their purchased items.
π¬ Store Maintenance: Be responsible for maintaining store floor and stockroom standards.
π About You
Youβre a proactive and reliable individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You have a genuine passion for supporting the team and ensuring smooth operations.
What you bring to the team:
β Retail Storeroom Experience: 2β3 years of experience in a retail storeroom environment is preferred but not essential.
β Customer Service Experience: Previous customer service experience is highly desirable.
β Machinery Experience: Ability to operate various machinery such as Pallet Jack, Walkie Stacker, WAVe, and trolley. Not essential as training will be provided.
β Self-Sufficiency: Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
β Technical Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
β Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 15kgs between floor and shoulder, 10kgs above shoulder height on your own & 45kgs with the help of another team member. Ability to wear a headset to communicate with the team on the shop floor.
