As our content and social ecosystem continues to evolve, we’re looking for an experienced and culturally in-tune Social Media & Online Community Manager to join our Marketing team on a 12-month parental leave contract.
This is a hands-on, highly influential role that will shape how Baby Bunting shows up across social platforms - building connections, creating meaningful conversations and bringing our brand to life for parents in an authentic and engaging way.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll own how Baby Bunting connects with customers across social platforms.
You’ll lead our organic social strategy and execution, translating editorial direction into compelling, platform-native storytelling across Instagram and TikTok. You’ll also oversee our creator and influencer ecosystem and foster a positive, trusted online community for parents and caregivers.
*This role will have semi-regular interstate travel.
Social Channel Leadership
- Own organic social strategy across Instagram and TikTok
- Translate editorial direction into platform-led content and plans
Social Content & Storytelling
- Produce and deliver engaging, short-form and trend-led content
- Be the custodian of the Baby Bunting brand across social platforms
- Balance brand, educational, always-on, seasonal and reactive storytelling
Creator & Influencer Management
- Lead influencer, creator and ambassador partnerships
- Manage end-to-end collaboration from sourcing to execution
Online Community Management
- Oversee community engagement and conversations
- Foster a trusted, supportive environment for parents
Performance & Optimisation
- Manage scheduling, reporting and content optimisation
- Track performance and evolve content based on insights and trends
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop a Social Content Coordinator
- Partner cross-functionally across Marketing, Digital, Operations, Merchandise and Customer Care
About You
You’re a social-first storyteller and content leader who understands how to build relevance, trust and engagement in fast-moving digital environments.
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or similar
- Strong experience in social media, content and storytelling (retail advantageous)
- Proven experience managing organic social channels at scale
- Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok and platform-native content
- Experience managing influencers, creators and brand partnerships
- Strong storytelling, copywriting and creative direction skills
- Demonstrated people leadership experience
- Highly organised with strong commercial and performance mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
