We’re looking for a Planning Assistant who is passionate about stock management and merchandising, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.

Success in this role requires experience in a high SKU count category, strong stock management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, agility, and a proactive approach are essential.

This 12-month parental leave contract is an opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic, supportive team across our consumables and apparel categories.

Key deliverables:

Stock Management:

  • Place & check replenishment order proposals and approve orders within the agreed timeline
  • Manage stock allocations to achieve highest level of stockturn
  • Ensure store baseline and promotional forecast accuracy
  • Liaise with suppliers on stock and product availability and resolve any supply issues

 

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Review replenishment against sales performance and maintain stock levels accordingly
  • Evaluate supplier performance in relation to supply and delivery in full - DIFOT

Foster working relationships with Suppliers:

  • Maintain accuracy of supplier stock forecasts
  • Evaluate supplier performance in relation to supply and delivery

Store support:

  • Analyse store performance and monitor store inventory levels to ensure all financials measures are achieved

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • An ability to think creatively to identify and resolve problems
  • Strong computer literacy and Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
  • Flexibility in your approach and an ability to meeting deadlines
  • An achievement orientation and drive for results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
