Your new role of Senior Business Analyst – Customer will contribute to shaping exceptional customer experiences through smart, seamless technology. In this dynamic role, you’ll partner with vendors and internal teams to maintain and enhance our marketing, customer care, and customer loyalty platforms, streamline operations and bring innovative ideas to life. Your expertise will help deliver secure, efficient, and meaningful customer experiences across our growing digital ecosystem. You will also be playing a key role in upcoming projects relating to loyalty and marketing technology optimisation. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing 

Process Improvement & Solution Delivery 

  • Collaborate with Business Owners and SMEs to understand needs and lead the design and deployment of technology solutions. 
  • Develop clear business requirements and user stories to guide technical teams and ensure alignment with business goals. 
  • Design test plans and execute testing to ensure delivered technical solutions function as required 
  • Manage technical delivery teams (indirectly) and vendors to achieve defined goals 

Stakeholder Engagement & Incident Management 

  • Work closely with Business Owners to ensure deployed solutions are operating as appropriate and continue to deliver business value 
  • Manage system incidents and outages, provide second-level support, and ensure effective communication and recovery planning 

 Application Management & Optimisation 

  • Oversee procurement, deployment, configuration, upgrades, and integration of customer and marketing systems to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure systems operate and integrate reliably and efficiently across the technology stack. 

Data Governance & Integrity 

  • Support governance of our customer data, ensuring accuracy, & consistency across platforms, and compliance with privacy regulations. 

Training & Documentation 

  • Design and develop educational materials such as training packs, procedural guides, etc. as required 


What We’re Looking For 

  • Relevant qualifications and experience: tertiary qualifications in business, IT, commerce, or a related field, with experience in a similar role—ideally within a medium-sized retail organisation in Australia or New Zealand 
  • Technical and analytical expertise: strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), business analysis (preferably with IIBA CBAP certification), and familiarity with systems such as MS Dynamics CRM, MS Dynamics F&O or other ERP/POS, Loyalty, and customer engagement platforms. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset: Detail-oriented, inquisitive, and commercially aware, with the ability to assess business value and think strategically. You’ll bring experience working as a Business Analyst on projects outside of your day to day. 
  • Collaborative and adaptable communicator: Skilled at working across teams and levels, balancing multiple stakeholder needs, and communicating effectively in both written and verbal forms. Crucial is your experience of managing vendor relationships 
  • Organised and delivery-focused: Well-organised, able to manage time and pressure effectively, and committed to delivering outcomes in dynamic environments.
