Baby Bunting is Australia's largest nursery specialty retailer, but we're much more than that. We're a growing community dedicated to supporting parents through every step of their journey. Our purpose? To share in the joy and provide support through the challenges of raising little ones by empowering parents to make the best choices for their families.
Weāre growing fast. With plans to expand from 75 to 110 stores, weāre entering our most accelerated growth phase since opening our first store in Balwyn back in 1970. We're introducing smaller-format sites to reach even more families and rolling out our āStore of the Futureā concept, showcased in our flagship Maribyrnong store. To support this exciting expansion, weāre significantly growing our Store Development team with nine newly created roles. Each role will play a hands-on part in transforming our store network to better support new parents across Australia and New Zealand.
Why this role matters:
Youāll take the lead on planning and overseeing our entire new store and refurbishment program. This includes creating one master view of projects in motion, ensuring timelines stay on track, coaching Project Managers, and driving consistency across delivery. Your focus will be making sure weāre efficient, coordinated, and working to the same high standards as we deliver stores that support families, now and into the future.
Hereās what youāll be doing:
- Owning and maintaining the master schedule for all new store and refurbishment projects
- Supporting and guiding Project Managers while ensuring program-wide consistency
- Setting the standards for project delivery, including reporting, templates, and governance
- Leading regular program reviews with updates on risk, budget, quality, and schedule
- Spotting opportunities for efficiency and cost savings by aligning activities across the program
- Working cross-functionally with teams from Property to Procurement and Visual Merchandising
- Tracking program risks and ensuring timely resolution or escalation where needed
- Supporting budgeting and financial reporting across all program activity
- Leading post-implementation reviews to embed continuous improvement
What weāre looking for:
- At least 5 yearsā experience in program or project management
- Experience leading multi-site programs in retail, construction, or similar environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced planning skills and confidence working with Microsoft Project or equivalent
- A proactive mindset with a passion for structured, repeatable delivery
- Familiarity with construction, procurement, leasing, and retail operations
- Relevant qualifications in Project or Program Management
