At Baby Bunting, we believe in supporting and inspiring confident parenting. As Australia’s leading baby goods retailer, we’re continuing to grow, and we’re looking for an exceptional FP&A Manager to join our Finance team.
Reporting into the Head of FP&A, this role is instrumental in delivering high-quality financial planning, reporting, and analysis to our Executive Leadership Team, Board, and investment community.
What You'll Be Doing:
Planning & Budgeting
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including presentations for the Board and Executive team.
- Model and maintain the Group’s consolidated profit & loss, cash flow, and balance sheet.
- Maintenance of year 10-year strategic planning model and rolling forecasts.
Financial Reporting & Insights
- Own key financial and non-financial metrics, working with the Data & Analytics team to ensure data integrity.
- Co-ordinate and compile monthly Board reporting.
- Provide regular trading insights across sales, margin, and cost drivers, comparing results to prior year and budget/forecast.
- Collaborate with Financial Accounting to support month-end close activities.
Investor Relations
- Support the preparation of ASX and investor reporting, including data verification, presentation packs, and Q&A.
- Maintain broker models and consensus forecasts.
Return on Funds Employed
- Develop feasibility papers for new store openings and capital investment proposals.
- Own ROFE reporting and capital employed forecasting.
Business Partnering
- Act as a Finance Business Partner to senior leaders—supporting with budget inputs, monthly reviews, and ad hoc modelling and analysis.
What We're Looking For:
- CA or CPA qualified, with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Big 4 or mid-tier advisory/audit and/or commercial finance, ideally in an ASX-listed or large corporate environment.
- Retail background preferred, but not essential.
- Advanced Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financials clearly.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with a structured, analytical mindset.
