Your Role:

The Payment Service Manager is responsible for the delivery and support of daily transactional services to the branches and our members, also responsible for monitoring the integrity of member data and aims for greater efficiencies and quality in their activities whilst not compromising the support and services provided to members and Australian Military Bank employees. 

The role of the Payment Services Manager is to manage the team to deliver the daily banking operational tasks are completed which include, but is not limited to; Direct Entry(DE), SWIFT processing, Mistaken Payments, Recall of Funds, Traces, NPP investigations, card ordering, card disputes, opening and maintenance of Term Deposits and Business accounts and Deceased Memberships, Bank accounts reconciliation, member statement validation, member complaint handling are all completed in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy. The Payments Service Manager is also responsible for the Visa Card disputes process.

About You

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the below key attributes and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience managing a team with a bank, credit union or payments company with a substantial knowledge of Payments and banking. SWIFT messaging, card dispute processing and payment service knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in applying process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to oversee and manage payment systems and external outsourced managed payment service providers
  • A proven track record of managing the delivery of payments services tasks in a bank/credit union/payment services provider
  • E-Payments Code knowledge
  • AusPayNet Procedures
  • Visa Core Rules and Visa Product and Service Rules
  • Visa and Eftpos card profiles
  • Cuscal and Vigil systems knowledge
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
