About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the IT Application Development Manager will lead technical direction and manage multiple teams (BA’s, Project Managers, Testers, and RPA Developer) responsible for enhancing banking applications, technical integrations, and robotic process automation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and mentoring skills, along with excellent communication abilities to translate technical knowledge into actionable directives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead development teams and ensure the delivery of development solutions and component/unit testing efforts.
  • Oversee and report on project status, manage project team resources and assignments, and ensure project milestones are met to standards.
  • Lead, manage, and implement IT projects to ensure timeliness and quality of deliverables.
  • Responsible for system design, development, and support of application systems.
  • Manage project processes, documentation, progress reporting, status meetings, and escalations effectively.
  • Work closely with users and vendors for system requirement analysis, effort estimation, design, development, implementation, and testing on banking projects.
  • Identify dependencies and potential risks across projects, taking measures to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Troubleshoot problems, propose recommendations to resolve issues, and liaise with developers to fix and resolve technical issues.
  • Liaise and coordinate effectively with both internal and external parties for system integration design.
  • Manage external development partners and third-party solution providers to ensure delivery of solutions as per requirements and allocated budget.
  • Plan Business analysis activities with the team to ensure appropriate analysis deliverables are delivered on time.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and vendors to identify and deliver best-in-class solutions for the business.
  • Manage requirements end-to-end through prioritization and maintaining traceability.
  • Perform system and business process analysis to clearly identify change impact and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide advice and guidance to others regarding best practices in business analysis and change management in an agile environment.
  • Work with key stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of the bank’s business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and context.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement requirements and provide necessary guidance to testers during the QA process.
  • Prepare documents such as expected benefits, gap analysis, use cases, models, current and proposed processes, workflows, data flows, test plans, and test cases in accordance with IT Project Management standards and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, ITIL) are a plus.

About you

This role would suit an experienced IT professional with a strong background in application development, project management, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate would have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

They should also have a good understanding of banking applications, technical integrations, and robotic process automation.

This role would be suitable for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and has a passion for driving technical innovation within a banking environment.
