We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in a hands-on role supporting day-to-day financial operations, reconciliations, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, solving problems and working in a fast paced and high volume environment.

Your Role:

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance function through financial accounting, reconciliations, reporting, accounts payable and process improvement activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• End to end Accounts Payable processing and general ledger journals
• Daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations, variance investigation and resolution
• Supporting month end accounting, financial and management reporting
• Assisting with tax reporting including GST, BAS and FBT
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and corporate card reconciliations
• Supporting regulatory reporting and annual audit activities
• Partnering with internal stakeholders across Finance, Payment Services and operational teams
• Contributing to process improvement and operational efficiencies across Finance

About You

We’re seeking someone with solid end-to-end accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• Strong end to end Accounts Payable experience and a solid understanding of downstream financial impacts
• Proven experience with GL reconciliations, variance investigation and issue resolution
• Experience working with GL ERP/accounting systems
• Exposure to payment services or transaction banking reconciliations (highly regarded)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
• Advanced Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and VLOOKUP
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Relevant accounting or finance experience (banking or financial services experience highly regarded).
