About the Role

This role sits at the heart of Aurora Energy's wholesale energy operations, ensuring the processes, systems and controls that support trading, pricing and portfolio management run smoothly and effectively.

You'll own and deliver core operational workflows including load forecasting, transfer pricing, settlements support and regulatory compliance. You'll coordinate across Energy Trading, Sales, Settlements and Finance to ensure timely, accurate outputs. Working closely with internal teams and external counterparties, you’ll help manage risk, optimise portfolio performance and ensure Aurora meets its regulatory obligations while delivering value for customers.

About You

You’re a commercially focused operations professional with strong quantitative capability, and a solid understanding of financial and energy markets. You’re comfortable working with process that involve complex data, owning end to end workflows, assessing risk and supporting trading and hedging decisions in fast‑moving environments.

You bring sound judgement, a practical mindset and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and competing priorities. Confident engaging with a broad range of stakeholders, you value collaboration, clarity and outcomes - and you’re motivated by contributing to essential services that matter to Tasmanian communities.

You’ll bring a degree (or equivalent experience) in a numerate discipline such as Finance, Commerce, Economics or Mathematics.
