This role sits within Strategy & Customer Experience. This Business Unit does everything from marketing and customer communications, product development and partnerships, through to shaping our strategic vision and direction. They have an exciting and important remit in the evolving energy landscape.

About the Role
As our Business Development & Sales Lead, you’ll play a key part in bringing Aurora Energy’s sales and growth ambitions to life. You’ll lead frontline sales activity across residential and small business customers, support the delivery of sales campaigns, and help strengthen partnerships that keep Aurora competitive and connected to the Tasmanian community.
You’ll work closely with the Business Development & Sales Manager and a team of Sales & Retention Officers, providing day‑to‑day leadership, coordination and support. From guiding agents and partners, to analysing performance insights and refining sales offers, your focus will be on delivering results while keeping customers front of mind.
You’ll also represent Aurora externally—at industry events, community forums and stakeholder meetings—living our We get Tasmanians value in how you build relationships and do business.
About You
You bring experience in sales, account management or business development, along with the confidence to lead others in a target‑driven environment. You understand how to balance commercial outcomes with strong customer experiences, and you’re comfortable working within a regulated setting.
You’re curious by nature—keen to understand what the data is telling you, what customers value, and how things could be done better. You communicate clearly, influence positively, and know how to bring people along with you.
