The Copywriter will be responsible for crafting inspirational and informative copy for APT Travel Group’s content marketing channels across print (particularly copywriting and editing brochures), digital, mobile and social, writing about the wonderful destinations and travel options we offer around the world. 

You’ll be joining a collaborative team made up of copywriters and graphic designers in our in-house design studio, part of our Marketing department. 

We seek an outstanding storyteller with a love of travel, a custodian of the voice of APT Travel Group’s house of brands who creates strong and compelling copy that engages and inspires our audience. 

Responsibilities of this role 

  • Write, review and edit copy content across all marketing platforms, including (but not limited) to APT Travel Group’s brochures, member publications, direct mail, press advertising, websites, social media and eDMs 
  • Ensure all copy is accurate and of the highest editorial standards, free from errors 
  • Faithfully maintain the tone of voice Brand Guidelines for APT Travel Group 
  • Participate and contribute to strategic, creative brainstorms for campaign activations and content 
  • Work closely with colleagues across our organisation to ensure we have a consistent tone of voice, take part and present in WIP and strategic meetings 

Personal requirements to meet the position objective 

  • Diligent, organised manner with the ability to manage your own time well, and juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet deadlines 
  • Entrepreneurial, creative thinker desiring to play an important role in creating incredible travel experiences for ATG Travel Group’s clients 
  • Strong communication and project management skills, analytical and decision-making skills and ability to solve problems and overcome hurdles 
  • Solid digital experience with a thorough understanding of digital marketing principles 
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and challenging environments with strict timelines and stringent budgets 

Skills & Experience 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in digital, communications or marketing coupled with experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience 
  • Proven experience writing omni-channel marketing content preferably in travel, retail, media, eCommerce or equivalent business 
  • Outstanding proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to execute high-quality work under tight deadlines 
  • Proven experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders on copywriting projects 
  • A deep understanding of marketing for travel, lifestyle and retail 
  • Strong planning and organisational skills 
  • Have a positive outlook and can-do attitude 
  • Knowledge of content management systems (Contentful, Sitecore, WordPress etc) an advantage
