What will you do?

As our WHS Business Partner, you will work with our leadership to drive a safety culture, collaborating, providing coaching and support for WHS related issues. You will also assess and anticipate WHS related risks and issues through partnerships across the organisation. As a part of and supported by the People & Culture team, you will:

Lead, coach and motivate the development of robust, innovative and creative WHS approaches to build ownership and engagement at all levels. 

Manage and resolve complex WHS issues. Conduct effective, fit-for-purpose investigations and facilitate assessments with risk owners. 

Take opportunities to build shared understanding and ownership of the organisation’s vision, values, strategies, plans and desired safety culture. 

A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory requirements prior to commencement of employment. Successful candidates must set up a myGovID in order to access Government data aligned to role. 

 Who are you?

  • Demonstrated success as a WHS Business Partner or equivalent role
  • Strategic thinker. Able to provide pragmatic advice, develop options, facilitate the analysis and actioning of risks and issues as they arise 
  • Sound negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills. Able to effectively, and creatively, challenge people, situations and current thinking. 
  • Proven success in driving a safety culture within target driven environments is critical.
  • A diploma or degree in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, or a related field.
