About the Role 

We are currently seeking an Instructional Designer to join our education and training team. Our team is deeply committed to education and programs that drive sustainable employment outcomes. This full-time position is contracted until June 30, 2024, with a strong possibility of extension. As the Instructional Designer, you will report to RTO Manager and be responsible for creating a diverse array of learning and assessment materials for various educational programs within our organization. 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Design and maintain interactive and engaging content that integrates instructional design. 
  • Collaborate closely with the team and other internal stakeholders to understand development requirements and create innovative, quality and cost-effective learning solutions to enhance student engagement. 
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all team members to drive innovation and implement best practice across all educational programs. 
  • Actively contribute to the development of learning and assessment content, processes and activities that are aligned to accredited and non-accredited programs. 
  • Evaluate and continuously improve learning programs in alignment with the needs of various cohorts. 
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practices to recommend innovative solutions that effectively contribute to learning and assessment that also complies with regulatory standards and guidelines. 

What sets you apart from the rest:  

  • Experience in developing high quality, engaging training materials and resources to suit the needs of diverse cohorts. 
  • Experience in developing e-learning, and using authoring tools, 
  • Experience working with learning management systems,  
  • Experience in developing vocational, language, literacy and numeracy assessment resources. 
  • Good working knowledge of the ACSF, AQF and Standards for Registered Training Organisations.  
  • Experience in designing learning and assessment content aligned with adult learning principles. 
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. 
  • Excellent written communication and time management skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail.
