The Opportunity: 

The Senior Financial Accountant is a full-time, professional role providing a range of financial support to the growth and effective business partnering of Asuria Group and its various business units in Australia & Abroad. This role will demonstrate their financial leadership, showing initiative & innovation. The position is responsible for month end close & reporting for company business units. The focus of this role will be to ensure timely consolidation of all entity’s (Including two foreign entities) monthly accounts. Ensuring month end process is finished well in time (Normally+3 business days) for all the business units efficiently & accurately. Taking the ownership of all the accounting activities (Including GL reconciliations/ budgets & Statutory accounts for multiple business units. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for month end process & support timely close of the books for the group entities (including foreign entities) accurately & within the given deadline
  • Assist in yearly Audit process & ensure that all the required information is made available to the auditors for test of controls & to prepare final consolidated TBs of all the entities.
  • Monitor day to day operations of the finance team including AP payments approval
  • Collate & process all the monthly transactions from our foreign entities into the central business accounting system DS 365 timely & accurately
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies & regulatory requirements. Responsible for lodgment monthly BAS/ PAYG statement on business portal & other periodic Govt. submissions such as ABS etc.
  • Process all monthly accruals/ provision & monitor payroll accruals for LSL & Annual Leave.  
  • Taking ownership of all BS & GL accounts & ensure for the timely completion of all the reconciliations after each month end close
  • Working closely with Accounts Payable team & be responsible for uploading & approving the multiple AP & other payroll payments using the online banking portal on daily basis.

What Sets You Apart: 

  • Demonstrated experience of minimum 5 years with post qualification in a similar role 
  • Degree with CA/CPA Qualification
  • Xero/ Dynamic 365 Business central would be preferable
  • Advance/Intermediate excel skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast pace, pressured environment and against tight deadlines
  • Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks/projects
  • Makes decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure
