Who are we?

Aurukun Training for Empowerment and Work Skills (Aurukun TEWS) is a new provider of the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) in the Aurukun Region, dedicated to connecting RAES job seekers with sustainable employment opportunities. Our people are at the heart of everything we do! 

 

What will you be doing?

This role will see you support the delivery of high-impact initiatives by establishing strong relationships with community stakeholders to promote sustainable outcomes. You will also:

  • Answer incoming Calls and handle reception queries in a friendly manner
  • Assist with the Daily appointments, including Initials and Re-engagement.
  • Greet everyone upon entering the site and refer job seekers who are scheduled for appointments to their Career Development Coach
  • Assist in the preparation of resumes for Job seekers
  • Identify and refer job seekers to suitable employment opportunities.
  • Support with resulting appointments daily
  • Any other duties as requested

 

Who are you?

Skills and experience we will look for include:

  • Experience keying and sourcing data into and from databases
  • Experience using email, intranets and sourcing information via the internet
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions
  • Experience with reception duties and managing appointment system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise in a busy environment
  • Understanding of privacy and confidentiality protocols
  • Customer service training or experience in a front-desk or call centre role
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures

Completion of a valid Police Check and Working with Children Check is a mandatory requirement prior to commencement of employment. Successful candidates must set up a MyGovID to access Government data aligned with their role.
