About the role
The Industry Training Consultant (ITC) will conduct the sign-up process of apprentices and trainees in person (face-to-face) in the workplace providing consistent and accurate information about their apprenticeship, conditions, rights, obligations for both parties under the Training Contract, advice on appropriate qualifications and relevant approved training providers.
The ITC will ensure the appropriateness of the apprenticeship arrangements, including determining the appropriate qualification for the apprenticeship and assist AAs and employers to understand and complete the Training Contract and access support services to improve AA completion rates.
About you
This position is well suited to an organised individual who can work autonomously, thrives in a busy environment and has the ability to build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have:
- ‘In field’ experience and a sound understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship System is preferred.
- Proven ability to build rapport with the business community and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in client service.
- Proven business development experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication, liaison and networking capabilities.
- Proficient skills in MS Office, and the ability to use external computer-based databases.
- The ability to interpret Government guidelines and related VET legislation.
The successful candidate will be provided with the required tools to perform the role including a mobile phone allowance, laptop and vehicle, in addition to a competitive salary.

A current and valid driver’s licence is also a requirement of this position.
