The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, Business Development, the National Sales Partner is responsible for driving new sales and revenue by securing B2B and B2C customers across Aruma’s commercial businesses, including Aussie Biscuits, Manufacturing, and Summerland Farm.
The role focuses on proactive outbound sales and fast conversion, ensuring a smooth handover to account managers for ongoing customer retention. Working collaboratively across Aruma, this role supports the delivery of sustainable, financially viable services that empower people to live the life they want and choose.
A day in the life of a National Sales Partner…
- Onboard new customers with a positive, consistent handover from sales to operations.
- Meet customer acquisition and transition KPIs (revenue, accounts won, handover speed).
- Conduct proactive outreach: calls, presentations, follow‑ups, and closing deals.
- Record and manage all customer information accurately from first contact to handover.
- Provide timely guidance to prospective customers to build trust and increase conversions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve best‑practice outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with B2B and B2C prospects across key sectors (hospitality, retail, corporate, manufacturing).
- Attend and actively contribute to trade expos, open days, and promotional events.
- Track pipeline activity, conversion rates, and outcomes for reporting.
- Lead and participate in networks and events to strengthen community presence.
- Monitor competitor offerings and share insights to support market competitiveness.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, showing leadership and sound decision‑making.
- Generate new sales opportunities through proactive outbound activity (cold/warm calls, meetings, digital outreach).
- Achieve year‑on‑year growth targets aligned with the sales plan.
- Organise “meet and greet” and market engagement opportunities (coffee catchups, facility tours).
Skills and Experience That will Make You Stand Out…
- Qualification in Business Management or a related field.
- Experience in a business and/or customer service management role.
- Background in customer‑facing, values‑driven organisations.
- Experience driving cultural improvement and building workforce capability.
- Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets in B2B, FMCG, hospitality, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong outbound sales experience (prospecting, calls, presentations, follow‑ups, closing).
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline with accurate, timely reporting.
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and accountable in fast‑paced environments.
- Strong commercial acumen and sound business judgment.
- Proficient using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
Desirable:
- Experience in hospitality supply, FMCG, food manufacturing, or corporate gifting/hamper markets.
- Familiarity with social enterprise or not‑for‑profit environments.
