People Advisor

Lead complex people matters with authority. Strengthen leadership capability. Elevate workforce performance.

Aruma supports more than 5,000 people with disability across Eastern Australia to live the life they choose. Our environment is operationally complex, highly regulated, and continually evolving — and the decisions we make directly influence how effectively our teams support people every day.

As we grow, we are seeking a high‑calibre People Advisor who brings analytical discipline, strong professional judgement, and the confidence to influence leaders toward clear, consistent, and standards‑aligned outcomes.

This role suits an HR professional who values structure, accuracy, and rigour — someone who can navigate complexity with composure, assess issues objectively, and contribute to improved organisational performance through strong people practice.

2 x Positions | Permanent Full Time | Hybrid | QLD, NSW, ACT or VIC

We welcome applications from people with disability, those with lived experience (including caring roles), and people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Lived experience is recognised as a valuable leadership perspective.

  • Influence teams’ performance by improving decision‑making quality and consistency
  • Apply technical HR expertise to ensure compliance and reduce organisational risk

This is meaningful HR work with tangible operational impact.

What You Bring

You are a credible HR professional who combines technical expertise with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and maintain high standards.

You will bring:

  • A degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • 3–5 years’ experience in HR advisory or generalist roles
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and people frameworks
  • Analytical capability and the ability to deliver sound, defensible recommendations
