Senior Enterprise Risk Manager

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Risk Manager to take end‑to‑end ownership of our Enterprise Risk Management framework, uplift risk maturity, and act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
This is a senior, highly autonomous role requiring proactive leadership, independent delivery, and confidence operating at the most senior levels of the organisation.

Employment Type: Full‑time, temporary until October 2027
The opportunity
As Aruma’s enterprise risk expert, you will:
- Own, embed and evolve the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, with a strong focus on systemisation and assurance.
- Lead enterprise‑wide risk identification, monitoring and reporting, including the Enterprise Risk Register, risk assurance map, and key risk indicators.
- Deliver high‑quality Board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting, presenting insights clearly and confidently.
- Partner closely with the Strategy Manager and senior leaders to align enterprise risks and strategic priorities.
- Proactively engage, challenge and influence stakeholders, including driving quarterly reporting and accountability.
- Provide clear, practical advice on complex and emerging risk matters.
- Coordinate crisis management, business continuity and fraud risk activities.
- Build organisational risk capability through influence, coaching and targeted training.
What you’ll bring
You’re a credible senior risk professional who thrives in complexity and works confidently with autonomy. You bring:
- 10+ years’ enterprise risk management experience (mandatory), ideally in large, complex organisations.
- A tertiary qualification in Risk, Business, Law, Commerce or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with ELT/Senior Leaders and presenting independently at Board level.
- Strong capability in framework design, process uplift and systemisation, ideally from a commercial or corporate environment.
- Exposure to crisis management, business continuity and/or fraud management.
- The ability to clearly articulate and challenge complex risk issues with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, self‑starting approach with strong ownership and follow‑through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including board‑level reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management paired with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver consistently.
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience in not‑for‑profit or regulated environments.
- Project management or continuous improvement credentials.
