Regional Manager - Shared Living

Lead Transformation. Drive Regional Growth. Heart Your Work.

This isn’t a maintenance role.

It’s a rare opportunity to lead real change across regional Victoria and Melbourne metropolitan.

At Aruma, we support more than 5,000 people with disability to live the life they choose. As our Home & Living portfolio grows — including expanding Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) partnerships — we’re looking for a Regional Manager who can lead with commercial strength, operational discipline and genuine heart.

If you’re an accomplished senior leader from disability, healthcare, occupational rehabilitation, aged care or broader community services — and you’ve led distributed teams through growth, reform or transformation — this could be the most meaningful leadership chapter of your career.

We strongly encourage applications from people with disability, people with lived experience of disability (including caring roles), and people from diverse cultural and community backgrounds. Lived experience is leadership strength at Aruma.

Why This Role Matters

Regional Victoria is growing. Demand for high-quality disability supports and accessible housing is increasing. Communities are evolving.

You will lead a diverse, multi-site portfolio across Aruma’s Home & Living services, supporting experienced Service Managers while driving:

  • Regional workforce stability and capability uplift
  • Integration of new services and SDA partnerships
  • High-quality, person-centred supports aligned to NDIS Practice Standards
  • Strong safeguarding, governance and compliance outcomes
  • Strategic partnerships with SDA providers and property developers
  • Sustainable financial performance, including full P&L accountability
  • Regional business development and local community engagement

This is leadership at scale — balancing people, performance and purpose.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 12–18 months, you will have:

  • Built a confident, stable regional leadership team
  • Successfully integrated new services and housing partnerships
  • Strengthened quality, compliance and safeguarding outcomes
  • Increased customer satisfaction and regional reputation
  • Delivered measurable portfolio growth and improved profitability
  • Become a respected regional presence across partners and communities

You’ll Be a Strong Fit If You Bring

  • 7+ years leading geographically dispersed teams in regulated human services
  • Proven experience delivering operational or service transformation
  • Experience managing growth, new site launches or portfolio expansion
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budget management and P&L oversight
  • Understanding of SIL/SDA interfaces and housing partnerships
  • Confidence working with developers, funders and external stakeholders
  • Calm, values-driven leadership through complexity and change

Qualifications in disability, human services, health or management are highly regarded.
