About the Role:

As a Horticulturist Supervisor, you will play a key role in coordinating and supporting regionally based teams of Team Leaders and General Hands. These teams deliver high-quality gardening, cleaning, and general maintenance services across a diverse range of commercial client sites.

A day in the life of a Horticulturist (Service Delivery) Supervisor …

  • Provide effective leadership and coaching to local Facilities Management teams, ensuring they meet schedules, contract specifications, and service standards aligned with our purpose and values.
  • Ensure all incidents and issues are appropriately reported and escalated using the PERISCOPE and COMMUNITY CARE platforms, with timely follow-up actions to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Support Regional and National Operations Managers with the preparation of tenders and quotations.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO Certifications and related standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of contract services.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager on weekly and monthly scheduling, and communicate with People Services, the People Team, or Administrators regarding any staffing or payroll changes.

Skills and Experience which will make you stand out…

  • Trade certification in Horticulture (mandatory).
  • Proven experience leading medium to large teams.
  • Ability to supervise across multiple and remote locations.
  • Grounds maintenance experience (preferred/desirable).
  • Strong human resource skills including relationship building, leadership, collaboration, and a participative approach.
  • Excellent administrative and scheduling capabilities.
  • Highly organised with strong problem-solving and technical (IT) skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Maintains a positive mindset under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Accountable and willing to learn.
  • Certificate IV in Leadership & Management (preferred or willing to obtain).
  • Previous experience in the disability sector is an advantage.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and White Card.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • Willingness to travel across regional areas as needed.
