- Leads day to day restaurant operations across front of house and kitchen, ensuring smooth service, strong customer experience, and consistent standards.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Leads and develops a diverse team (including supported employees), building a positive, accountable, and high performing hospitality environment.
Commercial Performance & Cost Control
- Manages labour, rostering, stock, and menu performance to deliver budget outcomes while identifying opportunities to grow revenue.
Customer Experience & Repeat Trade
- Creates a high quality dining experience that drives repeat customers, strong reputation, and integration with tourism and events.
Functions, Events & Cross Portfolio Integration
- Supports delivery of functions, weddings, and tourism trade while working across Summerland Farm to maximise overall visitor experience and revenue.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands on Restaurant Coordinator to lead the day to day operations of the Summerland Farm restaurant.
This is a key leadership role responsible for running a busy venue coordinating front of house and kitchen teams, delivering a strong customer experience, and driving commercial performance.
You’ll be part of a unique environment that combines hospitality, tourism, events, and farming with real opportunity to grow the restaurant as a destination dining experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading daily restaurant operations across front of house and kitchen
- Coordinating service to ensure a high quality customer experience
- Managing rosters, labour KPIs, and workflow to meet demand
- Working with the Head Chef on menus, stock, and cost control
- Supporting functions, weddings, and tourism trade
- Monitoring performance including revenue, labour, and costs
- Engaging with customers and building repeat business
- Coaching and developing team members
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
- Identifying opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and revenue
About You
- Experience in a restaurant, cafe, or hospitality leadership role
- Strong understanding of service, kitchen coordination, and operations
- Confident managing a team in high volume service environments
- Good commercial awareness you understand labour, cost, and performance
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills
- Practical, hands on leader who leads from the floor
- Experience with functions or events (desirable)
