Step into a hands-on leadership role at the heart of our horticulture operation in Alstonville, Northern NSW.

This is a blue-collar, leadership role - not a desk job. You’ll lead people, manage machinery, and keep a high-throughput facility running safely, efficiently, and on plan during peak harvest periods.

The role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Macadamia Dehusking Operations Coordinator:

  • Leads day-to-day operations of the dehusking facility.
  • Oversees safe, efficient, and reliable throughput.
  • Supports Leading Hands and teams with clear direction and timely escalation.
  • Manages labour, workflow, equipment, customer requirements, quality, and compliance.
  • Owns operational performance aligned to monthly and annual budgets.

A day in the life of the Operations Coordinator…

  • Turn seasonal plans into clear daily and weekly priorities.
  • Coordinate receival, processing, storage, and dispatch.
  • Manage throughput, bottlenecks, and changing harvest or weather conditions.
  • Act as the main contact for growers and logistics partners.
  • Monitor productivity, downtime, yields, and cost drivers.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support end-of-season maintenance delivery.
  • Coach and Build team capability, with a focus on succession and continuity.

About you – skills and experience that will make you stand out…

  • Experience leading people in manufacturing, processing, horticulture, logistics, or other relevant operational leadership environments.
  • Experience driving outcomes; operational KPIs, productivity measures and cost awareness .
  • Strong practical leadership skills in fast-paced, physical environments.
  • Sound judgement, clear communication, and confidence holding standards.
  • Working knowledge of WHS and compliance in an operational setting.
  • Relevant qualification (Cert III/IV, Diploma) or equivalent hands-on experience.
