About the role:

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprises team providing opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other skilled team members, to produce high-quality products and services for our commercial clients.

The Supervisor will support team leaders and their teams, collaborating with production, supply chain and quality departments to create a positive workplace environment that facilitates production targets, thus supporting Aruma’s Purpose and Values to enhance the lives of people with a disability, and achieve agreed operational and financial goals. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Team Leaders to coach and share knowledge to assist MPS teams to develop skills and achieve their employment goals.
  • Promptly report all incidents, accidents or near misses. Participate with management to complete reviews to improve WHS risks management.
  • Model safe work practices, including personal protective equipment, coaching all team members to utilise equipment appropriately.
  • Assist Packaging Coordinator by monitoring work of team leaders and their teams, assisting with production schedules and prioritising tasks, or escalating issues if required.
  • Collaborate between teams, communicating changes to ensure production targets are met.
  • Monitor rosters and/ or leave of Team Leaders and their teams to ensure all rooms are supervised and resourced well.
  • Coordinate between teams, making sure supported team members always have an appropriate staff member present.

About You:

  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct.
  • Sound verbal and written communication, with effective listening and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with working with people with disabilities, particularly in a service provision context.
  • Sound computer skills and numeracy.
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise work of teams in Packaging.
  • A practical understanding of WHS requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines including weekends and evenings.
  • Experience in a commercial medical packaging or similar production environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to supervise and coach others.
  • Sound conflict resolution and collaboration skills, with the ability to assess when to escalate to resolve issues.
  • Have a NDIS Worker Screening Check OR be willing to be complete
  • Be willing to complete a National Police Check
  • A valid Drivers licence 

Nice to have’s OR Desirable

  • Certificate or Diploma in frontline management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with people with disabilities, and/ or Certificate III in Disability Services
