We're seeking a qualified and NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver person-centred, evidence-based support across diverse settings.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Aruma, you’ll play a vital role in improving the quality of life for people with disabilities by developing and implementing positive behaviour support plans. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and work closely with individuals, families, and support networks to create meaningful outcomes that encourage independence, inclusion, and dignity.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments.
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Collaborate with participants, families, and support teams.
  • Promote safe, respectful, and inclusive practices.

About you:

  • A degree in Allied Health, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or Developmental Disability.
  • Alternatively, equivalent experience in behaviour support or disability services may be considered.
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles.
  • Ability to conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments.
  • Familiarity with restrictive practices and relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge of the PBS Capability Framework and NDIS guidelines.
  • Be engaged by a registered NDIS provider or register independently.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development to maintain suitability.
  • Hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Must hold a current full driver’s licence and have access to a well-maintained vehicle.
