This role is located within Summerland Farm team. About the role:

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprises team providing opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other skilled team members, to produce high-quality products and services for our customers.

The Weddings and Functions Lead will support the business as part of the retail and tourism portfolio by carrying out the planning, administration and execution of the restaurant function and wedding bookings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales growth through the effective administration, planning and coordination Weddings and smaller functions
  • Increase customer numbers through the effective promotions of Summerland Farm product and services, events and farm attractions using differing media platforms and technology
  • Engage community followers through accurate and effective use of current social mediums (Summerland Farm website, Instagram and Facebook) to promote the Weddings and Functions brand recognition locally and abroad
  • Excellent customer service to promote Summerland Farm services and to build positive relationships with external customers, suppliers and the broader community
  • Contribute to positive team relationships with the broader Summerland Farm team facilitated cooperation and collaboration, reflecting our values and producing effective team results

About You:

  • A commitment to the Summerland Farm and Aruma’s Code of Conduct
  • Cert IV in Function Management; or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination
  • Sound computer skills (MS Office) and social media platforms (Website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube)
  • A practical understanding of WHS requirements
  • A current Australian Driver's license
  • Be willing to complete a National Police Check
  • Have to be or be willing to complete a NDIS Worker Screen Check

Nice to have’s or Desirable

  • Formal leadership training (such as Cert IV or Diploma of Frontline Management
  • Previous experience working with people with disabilities
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • RSA
