The Role

The Process Excellence Lead plays a key role in driving operational excellence across Aruma by leading initiatives that improve efficiency, standardise ways of working, and support consistent, high-quality service delivery.

This role is focused on process mapping, analysis, simplification, and optimisation, while supporting the organisation to adopt improved and sustainable ways of working. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable, practical processes that enhance consistency and deliver better outcomes for participants, employees, and the broader organisation.

Leading a small team, you will oversee the analysis, documentation, redesign, and embedding of processes across key business areas. Working collaboratively with operational leaders, functional teams, subject matter experts, and transformation stakeholders, you’ll ensure processes are clear, aligned to business objectives, and practical to implement.

This role contributes to Aruma’s commitment to delivering safe, effective, person-centred, and connected services through strong process discipline and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Process Excellence Lead, Senior Process Analyst, Continuous Improvement, or similar role within a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to lead or mentor a team, set priorities, build capability, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong expertise in process mapping, analysis, redesign, and optimisation (e.g. BPMN, Lean, value stream mapping).
  • Experience facilitating workshops and partnering with stakeholders to drive alignment and outcomes.
  • The ability to simplify complex processes into practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience contributing to transformation, operational improvement, or business change initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills across all levels.
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
  • Understanding of quality, risk, governance, and compliance within regulated environments.
  • A values-led, person-centred approach aligned with organisational purpose.
  • Experience in human services, disability, health, community services, or similar regulated sectors will be highly regarded.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in business, operations, process improvement, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, or continuous improvement methodologies (highly regarded).
  • Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives in complex, multi-site environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes through others, including coaching and capability development.
  • Experience working within regulated environments with an understanding of risk, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong track record of engaging and influencing stakeholders to deliver practical, person-centred outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS funding model and associated processes (desirable).
  • Understanding of the disability or community services sector (desirable).

Why Join Aruma?
