Job no: NFP4R

Founded in March 2019 and headquartered in Melbourne, we are a leading technology consulting business specialising in digital transformation for mid-size, government and enterprise businesses. Our origins are in AI and we proudly deliver marketing-leading AI solutions to customers in partnership with Microsoft, as one of their top AI partners.

With 5 Microsoft partner solution designations and 10 specialisations, we are the fastest-growing strategic partner of Microsoft ANZ and the 2024 Microsoft Australian Partner of the Year Award winner. We are also among the few GitHub Verified Partners in the ANZ region.

What you’ll do:

This role provides Azure Consulting services to our customers, primarily focusing on Azure Infrastructure services such as landing zones, compute and networking. Designing and building customised solutions in alignment with the CAF is our aim. We aim to provide modern alternatives to infrastructure solutions.

Rather than being a project role where you are based long term on a single customer, this role would be servicing several different customers each month, each with unique goals and maturity levels. Whilst the role exists logically within our Managed Service department, the role is primarily focused on building new services or enhancing existing services for Managed Services and non-Managed Services customers.

This is an exciting opportunity where you would be responsible for gathering customer requirements, formulating technical solutions to their requirements, and building the solution through to production. Performing proof of concept (PoC) solutions for these customers and stress testing the solution is a common requirement.

We are looking for an experienced Azure Consultant, who has previous exposure to a wide range of Azure services that can work independently to drive customer outcomes. Someone who enjoys a wide variety of tasks day to day, and has excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.

Our ideal person will have:

  • Exposure to a broad range of Microsoft Azure services
  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining Azure Infrastructure such as networking, compute
  • Strong proficiency designing, creating and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in Bicep using Azure DevOps or GitHub
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven experience running workshops and gathering customer requirements
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with other technical stakeholders, scrum masters, managers, and key customer stakeholders
  • Experience performing architectural reviews and identifying and implementing uplifts and modernisation opportunities for customer technology
  • A positive mindset. Identifies risks and issues but sees them as an opportunity to improve
  • A proactive mindset. Will drive progress to achieve an outcome and won't hesitate to lead a task

Some of the most common tech you will build use (to be successful in this role you will need experience in these):

  • Hub and spoke networking - using tech such as Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Firewalls, NSGs, ExpressRoute, App Gateways, VWAN
  • Landing zone deployments, and workload to cloud migration experience
  • EntraID (the artist formerly known as Azure Active Directory)
  • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights
  • Virtual Machines, Virtual Machine Scale sets, bastions
  • App Services - function apps, logic apps, web apps
  • Azure DevOps, GitHub
  • Azure Pipelines, Bicep templates
  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is highly regarded but not essential
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is highly regarded but not essential

What we offer:

  • People first culture – We are an authentic and empowered crew, where everyone has a voice and we succeed together
  • Crew connection – Regular squad outings, Crew musters, social interest groups and Crew events
  • A focus on learning and development – Various internal initiatives and a $2,000 L&D budget for certifications, licences, conferences or anything else you need to grow
  • Tech done your way - We provide a $2,500 annual allowance for you to spend on the hardware or home office equipment of your choice

Please note:

  • We are an equal opportunity employer and we welcome all applications. Particularly those from underrepresented groups
  • At this stage, we are only able to consider candidates with unrestricted local working rights
  • We don’t require the assistance of recruitment agencies
