That’s how many South Australians our people support each year.

As one of the state’s leading not-for-profits, we’re making a meaningful impact at scale. From foster care to aged care and everything in between, our services are as diverse as the people and communities we serve - and we’re growing our reach for the future.

It takes a special kind of person to work in this sector. Someone with real compassion and care. Could that person be you?

Join us as an Exercise Physiologist and be part of something bigger - helping older people stay active, independent and connected to the lives they value.

What you’ll do

Join our multidisciplinary Allied Health team in a varied role primarily based at our Playford clinic, complemented by community visits to customers’ homes.

Using our dedicated clinic spaces, gym facilities and equipment, you’ll design and deliver individual and group-based exercise programs that help older people improve their strength, mobility and overall wellbeing. You’ll build meaningful relationships with customers and work alongside their families and broader care team to support independence and achieve goals that matter to them.

You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

  • Delivering Exercise Physiology assessments and tailored programs that support customers’ health, mobility and independence
  • Designing and facilitating individual and group-based exercise programs, including falls and balance, Healthy Hearts and Breathe Easy
  • Providing targeted Exercise Physiology services within customers’ homes
  • Collaborating with customers, families, carers and other health professionals to achieve meaningful outcomes

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology
  • Current accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to undertake community visits

We would also love you to have:

  • Experience supporting older adults or working within community aged care
  • Knowledge of the ageing process, chronic health conditions and the principles of self-management and positive ageing
  • Experience developing and facilitating group-based exercise programs
