What you’ll do
This is a rewarding leadership opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of financial wellbeing and emergency assistance services that support individuals, families and communities experiencing financial hardship and vulnerability. You will play a pivotal role in shaping service delivery, driving innovation and leading a culturally responsive, trauma informed practice environment that empowers people to build financial capability, resilience and long term wellbeing.
We are seeking a strategic and values driven leader who can foster a culture of reflection, innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, evidence informed services that support vulnerable individuals, families and communities to improve their financial wellbeing, navigate hardship and strengthen their resilience.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until June 30th 2027, based in Playford with travel across AnglicareSA sites.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
● Providing strategic leadership across financial wellbeing and emergency assistance services, cultivating a collaborative, values driven culture that supports learning, innovation and continuous improvement.
● Embedding culturally responsive, trauma informed and child safe practices that ensure services are accessible, inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of individuals, families and communities.
● Overseeing service operations, governance and performance, including quality assurance, financial management, risk mitigation, compliance and contractual obligations.
● Driving service enhancement and innovation through evaluation, evidence informed practice, stakeholder collaboration and the integration of lived experience perspectives.
● Developing and strengthening partnerships across the community, financial wellbeing, housing and social services sectors to improve outcomes for people experiencing financial hardship and vulnerability.
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
● Degree level qualification in a Human Services discipline: Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Allied Health and/or extensive equivalent experience.
● Significant experience leading financial wellbeing, emergency assistance, community services and/or social support programs, with strong knowledge of the broader service system.
● Strong operational management capability, including experience managing budgets, risk, quality assurance systems, funding agreements and service performance.
● Experience working alongside First Nations communities and culturally and linguistically diverse communities, with a commitment to culturally centred practice.
We would also love you to have:
● Financial Counselling qualification.
